Two Hours at the Twin Towers
I have been fascinated by the events at the twin tower complex ever since watching the second plane hit live on tv at the age of 18 and the subsequent destruction thereafter. My aim is to recreate the events in real time from about 8.35am to 10.35am including plane strikes, elevator falls, aircraft debris locations, first responder locations, car fires, floor fires, jumper/faller locations, areas where people are trapped, firefighter ascending locations, phone call locations, building collapses etc etc.
While i am modelling all of the buildings this will also allow me to create the most accurate 3d print of the towers, the plaza and their surrounding buildings available anywhere. Soon i will be setting up a Patreon account, subscribers will get free access to the simulation when it is completed and also the highly accurate 3d printable file.

Plan of Action
We aim to recreate a 3d simulation of the hours between 8.30am and 10.30am at the WTC complex. Whether this will be in first person mode or in VR we are unsure at this moment in time – depending on complexity.

Design part 1
Design all buildings, roads and the Tobin Plaza to a high level of detail.

Apply relevant materials and finishes to the models to accurately represent how they looked on the morning of September 11th.

Model all cars and roads to accurately represent how they were on the morning of September 11th.

Simulation part 1
Set up a timeline of the events as they happened during the morning, from the first aircraft hitting the North tower to the eventual collapse of the North tower.

Simulation part 2
Begin entering this data into the software to accurately represent the events of the morning in real time.

Simulation part 3
Release the simulation in a beta version and update as necessary
